The philosophy

Most travelers fly over the best part of Palawan.

Between El Nido and Coron lies Linapacan — a 50-island archipelago that ranks among the clearest waters in the world. Day-tours can't reach it. Flights skip over it. The only way in is by sea, slowly, over three days.

The water other tourists miss

El Nido and Coron alone are remarkable. Linapacan in between is what they were 20 years ago — reefs so transparent the boats look suspended in mid-air, beaches with zero footprints by sunset. Skip the expedition and you skip the best part.

Three days is the minimum

The islands are real distance apart — not a day-tour loop. A one-day trip would be 14 hours on a boat and 2 hours in the water. Three days lets the journey breathe: one island per swim, beachfront camp by sunset, slow mornings on the water.

The same crew every trip

Filipino-owned and built in Palawan. The founding team has run 2,000+ expeditions before opening Seatours. The chef, captain, and crew know each Linapacan family by name — fish comes from the village that morning, not a wholesaler.

Why guests come back

4.9-star average across 2,000+ verified reviews. Most travelers booking the 3D2N expedition tell us afterward they wish they'd done it earlier in their trip — not at the end. The rest of Palawan feels different once you've seen Linapacan.

The expedition

A 3-day sail through Linapacan.

Linapacan's reefs are so transparent boats appear to float in mid-air. Small groups, the same Filipino crew every trip, no agendas. Just islands, food, and water.

Instant booking

Pay 50% online with PayPal — works with any card, no PayPal account required. Confirmation in seconds.

Beachfront base camps

Two private kubo camps on islands no day-tour reaches. Mosquito nets, mattresses, fresh-water showers at sunset.

Fresh-caught meals

Onboard chef. Fish bought from Linapacan villagers each morning. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free on request.

Small-group expeditions

Capacity varies by boat — small enough that everyone gets to know everyone. Private charters available for couples and families.

Safety first

MARINA-registered boats, double engines, GPS, life vests, first aid, satellite phone. We don't sail in unsafe weather, ever.

Free cancellation

Cancel up to 14 days out for a full refund. Weather cancellations: 100% refund or free rebook.

Important details

Plan well. Travel light. Disconnect fully.

Packing essentials

Main bag: waterproof 20–50L overnight bag for clothes, dry towel, and 3-day essentials. Day bag: camera, sunscreen, toiletries, insect repellent, headlamp, tumbler. Luggage stays on the boat and is inaccessible for 3 days, so pack your day bag carefully.

Additional essentials

Rain protection, personal medications, sand-termite and insect repellent, and earplugs (light sleepers). Reef-safe sunscreen recommended. Power banks essential — see below.

Tour conditions

Outside the dry season, expect big waves and strong currents. We visit 2–5 destinations per day (average 4) depending on the weather. This is a true digital detox — limited connectivity and electricity. No hospitals are nearby.

Accommodation

Linapacan and Culion campsites with native huts. Mosquito nets, small mattresses, two pillows, and a blanket are provided. Solo travelers should expect to share with the same gender. Tissue paper provided.

Connectivity

Limited solar electricity at camp — not guaranteed. Bring power banks and books. Embrace the chance to disconnect and connect with nature instead.

Safety measures

Follow all safety instructions. Life jackets and first aid kits are available. Avoid contact with marine life such as stonefish, stingrays, and jellyfish. Our guides are trained under Red Cross first aid guidance, but hospitals are 8+ hours away.

Prohibited actions

Night swimming, spear fishing, excessive alcohol consumption, harassment, disrespecting locals, and dangerous behavior are strictly prohibited.

Flight allowance

Allow at least 4 days from your flight arrival to your tour start, and 4 days after the tour before your flight departure, to avoid tight schedules. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Final checklist

Bring cash (₱2,000) for:

  • ₱800 — Government & environmental fees (Coron + Linapacan + El Nido) — mandatory, paid in cash on arrival
  • ₱1,200 — Pocket money for extras (souvenirs, drinks beyond included rum)

Meeting point: Be at the assigned meeting point by 8:00 AM. Have breakfast before arriving at the port.

Reverse Direction Available

Coron to El Nido — same expedition, reversed.

The 3D2N expedition runs daily in both directions, year-round. If you are flying into Busuanga (USU) airport and ending your trip in El Nido, the Coron to El Nido direction is the natural choice. Many travelers prefer this routing for two reasons:

  1. Logistics: USU airport in Coron has more direct flight options from Manila and Cebu, while ending in El Nido positions you near Puerto Princesa for an onward Palawan land tour.
  2. Crowd timing: Coron-departure boats typically leave the busier town earlier in the morning, reaching Linapacan's quiet anchorages by midday before any joiner-boat traffic arrives.

What stays the same: same boat, same captain and host, same 12-island route through Linapacan, same beachfront huts, same ₱18,900 all-inclusive price, same 2-night sleep ashore. The only difference is which port you start from.

Same itinerary, mirror-image: Day 1 departs Coron and stays at our Linapacan beachfront huts. Day 2 explores Linapacan's secret coves and the clearest water in the Philippines. Day 3 finishes in El Nido by mid-afternoon, with hotel drop-off included.

The Seatours expedition fleet

Built for three days, not three hours.

A 90ft hardwood expedition boat — Coastguard-certified, licensed for 60 pax but capped at 24 to 28 guests per trip so the deck never feels crowded. 10-person crew on board: captain, chef, mechanic, guides, and deck hands. Dry-bag storage for every guest.

The Expedition Boat

Hardwood hull, twin diesel engines. Shaded mid-deck for meals, open bow for sunrise, dry storage below for every guest's bag. Built for the three-day crossing.

Captain & crew

10-person crew on every trip: Captain Mario, chef, mechanic, English-speaking guides, and deck hands — all Filipino, all from Linapacan or Coron, all with 10+ years on these waters. They cook three meals a day, anchor at the right beach for the night, and read the wind faster than any forecast.

Safety standard

Coastguard-certified, marine VHF radio + satellite phone, life vest per guest, snorkel + mask kit per guest. Single-stop refuelling, daily Coast Guard check-in at every port.

The Seatours Accord

Our promises to you.

Four principles that govern every expedition — how we plan, how we cancel, how we treat your three days on the water.

Weather refunds

If the Coast Guard suspends sailings or the captain judges conditions unsafe, you get a full refund or a free reschedule — no negotiation. We never sail through a storm to save a deposit.

Date flexibility

Change your date free up to 14 days before departure. Inside 14 days we'll move you subject to availability — life happens, and we plan for it.

Real photos, real boats

Every photo on this page is from an actual expedition with actual guests. No stock images, no rendered boats, no fake reviews. What you see is what you board.

Locally crewed, locally paid

Captain, chef, and crew are all from Linapacan or Coron. Every peso of crew pay stays in Palawan. Your trip funds the families who keep these islands alive.

Travelers should be comfortable swimming, climbing in/out of a boat, and walking on sand and uneven ground.
